Welcome to Yum Yarn! I've long been a yarn-crazed person since I raised my own sheep, wove garments, spun fibres, knitted, crocheted...The textures and colours that appealed to me always were "good enough to eat"!

Now that my daughter lives in New Zealand, I've loved being immersed in sheep, wool, and the beautiful yarns that families and small producers create. I've also looked closer to home and found Topsy Farms, who raise sheep on Amherst Island in Ontario. What I'm learning is that people who care about their special wool are pretty much the same, whether in Ontario or New Zealand.

I hope you enjoy the delicious colours and textures that I'm finding and that they will stimulate your senses too!
